If a 12 year old child comes to you saying, “Thus saith the Lord,” what would you do? Would you intensely listen, or would you pay no attention because of the child’s age. What if, a 76 year old man with old torn clothes came up to you saying, “I see you doing great things?” Would you discredit him because of his age and assume he may have a mental problem?
It would behoove us to listen to the child or old man and not discredit what they’re saying. God informed us in Joel 2:28 that our sons and daughters will prophesy and our old men will dream dreams. It could be the Holy Spirit using that child or adult to minister to us.
Certain people in society mess up by discrediting people because of their age or background. Jesus had that same problem in Matthew 13:53-58 where the people discredited Him because they knew His background. Just know, God can use anyone (child or adult) to speak to us about our life or situation. Open your hearts and minds to receive the Word of God, even if it is an unlikely source.
