James 5:15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Healing, restoration, forgiveness, and more come by prayer. Prayer works, but only if done by a righteous person with persistent faith.

So, for our prayer to work, we accept that we are made righteous through Jesus according to Romans 5:19, and we choose to walk in righteousness. Then, we believe for results with unmovable faith as Jesus instructed us to do in Luke 17:6. And while we pray for our situation, we remember to intercede for others as in 1 Timothy 2:1.
