Hebrews 9: 10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 12We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Sometimes it seems as though we sit in difficult situations for longer than we think we should. We pray more, fast more, give more, confess more, worship God more, and honor God. We may ponder, why hasn’t breakthrough manifested in the earthly realm yet?
The answer? Keep doing what you are doing. Would you be praying, fasting, giving, confessing, worshipping as much if you weren’t in this situation? Appreciate this as a time to grow closer to God and not become lazy, and continue in your faith.
Joseph waited 13 years after his God-given dream before he became second only to Pharoah in his position. Abraham waited 25 years before Isaac was born. So, we imitate those faithful ones (Hebrews 11) and we patiently await what has been promised.
