Luke 8:52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.” 53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.
When God gives us instructions, it may not seem wise or logical to others to act on those instructions. Those instructions may cause us to be ridiculed or talked about. However, if we put all those things aside and obey the instructions of the Lord, the ridicule from others will turn into recognition and recommendation.
People will recognize the power of God working in our lives through our ‘foolish obedience.’ This aligns with God’s Word that states, He will choose the foolish things to shame the wise (1 Cor 1:27). Also, when people realize how blessed we are because of our obedience, the recommendation to be obedient to God even in ‘foolish things’ will rapidly spread to others.
Praise God that through our faith and obedience to God, the promises of God are limitless.
