I John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
Do we really believe this? When people mistreat us or our family, do we believe that through our faith in God, we overcome? Whether we are unfairly treated, or our children ostracized, God can use even those situations to bring us out on top. That doesn’t mean that God causes those negative things to occur, but that He’s so great at being our loving Father that He can mold, shape, and grow us so that we come through those situations victorious and better than we were. So, release revenge, worry, and doubt and embrace the promises of God for victory, abundance, and joy for us, for our children, and for others.
Romans 4:21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

So how do I deal with moving on from the hurt of a failed marriage and feeling that the other person has gotten away with mistreatment. I have struggled with the forgiveness of an apology that I never received. I’m trying my best to move on and need a little reassurance.
Thanks

One thing you must understand is “they” have not gotten away with anything. Just because you don’t see them being hurt, doesn’t mean they have gotten away with hurting someone else. The Bible says, we reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7).
If you are waiting on an apology from that person, you may be waiting forever. That doesn’t mean you don’t forgive. When we don’t forgive, it’s like taking poison hoping the one who hurt us will die. Not forgiving is only hurting ourselves.
To move on, we have to receive the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all our hurt. Hebrews 9:14 talks about allowing the blood of Jesus dead works. Those dead works are things that negatively affect our lives. Daily, we must receive the blood of Jesus to remove all the pain from our lives. Eventually, you will remember the incident but, the pain from the incident will be gone.
