The more we grow in our relationship with God and the longer we walk down this holy pathway, the more we pull away from things we previously did. We act differently, we speak differently, we think differently, and our minds are constantly being renewed.
The longer we live this holy life, some of us may have a tendency to criticize or judge others who aren’t on “our level.” We’ll forget that it wasn’t our faith, our hours of prayer, or our church attendance that got us where we are. It also wasn’t our intelligence, networking, and degrees that brought us to this point in our lives. It was nothing but, the grace of God.
We have successful careers because of the grace of God. We have a nice home because of the grace of God. We have no lack because of the grace of God. We are forgiven because of the grace of God.
For those who find themselves looking down on someone for making unwise and sometimes ungodly decisions, realize that the grace of God is available to them just like it was available for you.
1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
