1 John 3:20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us
Christianity is more than not sinning. If we, the believers, only concern ourselves with not sinning, we are living in condemnation and doing a disservice to the Kingdom of God.
A person is living in condemnation if they go through life overly concerned with not sinning, and if they sin, they feel dirty, guilty, and ashamed. That person hasn’t truly accepted the fact that Jesus died for our past, present, and future sins and God is not charging those sins to our account (Hebrews 10:12;17).

As we can see in 1 John 3, condemnation negatively impacts our confidence in God. If our confidence in God is affected, how do we expect to receive the desires of our hearts and more importantly, how do we expect to receive the needs for the Kingdom? Jesus provided us with complete freedom in Him. We are free from sin, condemnation, guilt, and shame. Receive this freedom and walk in this abundance that Jesus sacrificed Himself for us to have.
