Psalms 89:21 With whom My hand shall be established; Also My arm shall strengthen him. 22 The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
24 “But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him, And in My name his horn shall be exalted.
These promises, along with some additional promises in Psalms 89, were made by God to David. Jesus is a descendant of David (Romans 1:3). According to Ephesians 2:10, we are in Christ, therefore, these same promises belong to us. Praise God!
Also, in Psalms 89:31-32 it says, “If they break My statutes And do not keep My commandments, Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.” Since Jesus fulfilled the law and kept the commandments of God, and we’re in Christ, we don’t have to suffer punishment from God. Praise God!
In conclusion, because of Jesus, we are blessed to receive all the promises of God, but none of the punishment. Praise God for Jesus!
