Luke‬ ‭14‬:‭16-18‬ Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’

On the earth the Kingdom of God can only operate through mankind. The Kingdom of God is ready for souls to be saved, ready for bodies to be healed, ready for the poor and homeless to be satisfied, and ready for God to be glorified in everything we do, however, some of us make excuses.
We’ll make excuses as to why we can’t serve in the Kingdom of God. Some will say they have to work, their children participate in sports, or they don’t feel like it. The people who serve in the Kingdom of God have to work and their children may participate in sports. The difference between the person who serves and the person who makes excuses is, the person who serves prioritizes the Kingdom of God over everything else.

Do you think that preacher felt like preaching when he extended the opportunity for you to receive salvation? Do you think that friend or family member felt like listening to your problems and frequently praying for you? They probably did not, but they were willing to serve something greater than themselves.
Remove the excuses and be consistent in serving somewhere in the Kingdom of God.
