We’re busy. We have jobs, a family, social gatherings, and tasks we have to perform. Our busy schedule often leaves little time to spend with God. For some, it may just be 5 minutes out of a 24 hour day. And when we do come to God, we ask Him for our desires, guidance, and protection.

When we make time to come into the presence of God, let’s recognize Who He is. Don’t just give Him your wish list. He is God and besides Him there is no other. He stands outside the universe and at the same time, within the universe. He’s the Creator of all. He’s everything we need and more. With that understanding, worship Him.

Literally get down on your knees (if you can) and worship Him. Let Him know what He means to you. Let Him know how grateful you are for His presence. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Play your favorite worship song. Do whatever that needs to be done that will inspire you to worship. This is not a suggestion it’s a command.

So, in the car, at the house, or in the shower, worship the Lord.

Psalm 99:5 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His footstool; He is holy.
