Psalms 10:13 NLT Why do the wicked get away with despising God? They think, “God will never call us to account.”
At some point, we’ve all had this thought of wondering why it seems the wicked prosper and go unpunished in life. Meanwhile, it seems the godly, who are trying to do right, get mistreated and the bare minimum.
If we focus on this too much, we could find ourselves envying the wicked. We may find ourselves living how the wicked live because of the appearance of prosperity and the lack of consequences. Don’t fall for this trap. Later on in Psalm 37:1-2, we see that the wicked will eventually fade away.
Continue to honor the Lord. Not just to prosper but out of appreciation of the sacrifice of Jesus. Let your light shine so that people can see your good works and glorify the Father (Matt. 5:16). If we don’t lead them to Christ, who will?
