Psalms 77:11-12 NLT But then I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works.

When we’re in a difficult situation, Satan likes to bombard our thoughts with that problem. If we dwell on it long enough, that mountain will get bigger and bigger each day. That problem will consume our thoughts and turn into fears.

At the same time, the Holy Spirit will remind us of what God’s done. He’ll remind us of how God dealt with the last “big problem.” He’ll show us how He turned something major into something minor.

The Holy Spirit will also remind us of what God said in His word. He’ll remind us that nothing is too hard for God and all things are possible through Him (Jer. 32:27; Mark 9:23). This is why it’s so important to study God’s word in order to have it inside our hearts (Ps. 119:11).

When difficulties happen, don’t dwell on them. Instead, embrace God’s word and trust that it has the power to change any circumstance.
