Psalms 87:5 NLT Regarding Jerusalem it will be said, “Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.” And the Most High will personally bless this city.
Jerusalem wasn’t a major or notable city like Cairo or Rome. It was just a basic city. What made it special was the blessing that God put on that city. He could have picked any other city in the world, but He chose Jerusalem to bless and make His own.
Without Jesus, we’re nothing special. In fact, all of us were dead to God. When we make Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, the blessing that was given to Abraham was given to us (Gal. 3:14). The blessing we receive after our acceptance of Jesus’s sacrifice makes us special and alive to God. We become so special until we’re sealed with His Spirit, He adopts us into His family, and make us His own (Gal. 4:5).
Praise God for the blessing of God. It turns basic and overlooked things into something special. Make Jesus Christ Lord, if you haven’t, to become special too.
