John 20:30-31 NLT The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him you will have life by the power of His name.
Miracles still happen. They have not passed away with the Apostles and they’re not just for the super saints. Miracles happen for anyone who believes.
If we choose to believe for God’s promises to come to pass, they may arrive as a miracle. If we’ve believed God for our needs being met, those needs may be met from an unexpected source. It may be random stranger or person we haven’t spoken to in a long time. If we’ve believed that the pain is healed by the stripes of Jesus, the manifestation of that healing may come after receiving a hug from a loved one. God’s word can come to pass in all sorts of ways.
It’s important to note that miracles aren’t always spectacular. Sometimes, miracles seem like coincidences. After standing on God’s word to experience the manifestation of healing, our cousin just so happens to know the top medical professional who specializes in that area. Or, we may have forgotten our wallets before entering a convenience store, so we go back home to get it. Later on, we find out that the convenience store and everyone in it was robbed. If we label these things as coincidences, we may not think twice about them and we’ll move on without thanking God.
Just because we don’t see miracles on a daily basis, doesn’t mean they’re not happening. Miracles are possible for anyone who believes.
