Proverbs 13:21 NKJV Evil pursues sinners, But to the righteous, good shall be repaid.
Anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is righteous (2 Cor. 5:21). As righteous people, we should be doing good things. We should be helping people financially, emotionally, or physically. We should be beautifying our communities. We should be working with excellence in order for our employer to prosper.
Satan likes to make it seem like the good things we do are for nothing. He wants us to think that no one sees our efforts or everyone is ungrateful. This triggers our flesh to be selfish and entices us not to do good anymore.
In the word of God, we have a promise. Whatever good we do, God’s word promises that we’ll be repaid. In Ephesians 6:8, God promises that He will repay the good we do.
So, don’t stop doing good things. Don’t stop helping people. Don’t stop being a blessing. If we don’t see immediate responses for the good we do, trust that God sees them and we’ll be repaid.
