We cannot live our lives based on how we feel. It’s a trap that will hinder our development.

Because feelings are fickle, one day we’ll feel like doing something, but another day we won’t. The day we don’t feel like doing something that aligns with God’s word, we limit our soul (mind, will, imagination, emotions, and intellect) from maturing and we limit what God can manifest in our lives.

It’s no different than a toddler who doesn’t feel like eating healthy food. By not eating healthy foods, they limit their physical growth and development.

We must go beyond how we feel and do what His word says. If He tells us to serve, give, forgive, resign, move, or end a relationship, just do it. In the end, it’s for His glory and our good.

Let’s not allow our feelings to govern our lives. Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to guide, lead, direct, and govern our lives.

Romans 8:6 CEV If our minds are ruled by our desires, we will die. But if our minds are ruled by the Spirit, we will have life and peace.
