Psalms 84:12 NIV Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.

Some believers would say they completely trust God with their mouths, but in actuality, they only partially trust Him. We may trust God in some areas, but not in other areas.

We may trust Him to supply all our needs, but we don’t trust Him to protect us. This lack of trust leads some to borderline paranoia. They spend a lot of money to have the greatest security system and buy all these guns to stash throughout their house, because they feel like it’s their responsibility to protect themselves.

Some people partially trust God in their marriages. Instead of giving their cares about a disagreement they had with their spouse to the Lord, they feel like it’s their responsibility to change the mind of their spouse. This leads to arguments, resentment, or divorce.

As we spend time with God, ask Him if there’s an area where we partially trust Him. Like a good Father, He’ll point it out, then help us improve in that area. Instead of partial trust, let’s trust God completely.
