Have you heard the term cherry picker? In some areas, a cherry picker is someone who picks and chooses something based on their desire. Instead of receiving the entire thing, they pick and choose the items they want and leave items they don’t want.

Some of us cherry pick in the Word of God. We pick and choose the things we want to obey. Most of us choose things that suit our personal desires. If something in the Word causes us any discomfort or inconvenience, we usually make the decision not to fully obey that command. However, if something is easy enough for us to handle, we’ll do it.

The good news is that in our new covenant, we only have 3 commands to follow.
1. Love The Lord our God.
2. Love our neighbor.
3. Love ourself.
With these three commands, we can fulfill the will of God. Please God in life and give Him total obedience.

Mark 12: 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

John 13:35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

In the United States on February 14, we celebrate Valentine’s Day, the day of love. We can’t celebrate the day of love and forget about The Author, The Creator, and The Embodiment of love (God) Who loved us so much until He sent His Son Jesus Christ to save mankind.

This day, along with every other day, is a day to embody the true definition of a disciple. Jesus said we are His disciples when we show love to one another.

I encourage everyone who reads this to reflect and thank God for His love and express the love of God to all mankind.

God is Love!

Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times? “Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

Since God has forgiven us and others without condemnation, who are we to hold on to the transgressions of others and condemn others? If we are made in the image of God and we are to walk as Jesus did, we have the capability to forgive others. Not only do we have the capability to forgive but, we are commanded to forgive.

When someone has wronged us, we are to forgive them and move on. Don’t speak about the incident any longer. When we speak about it, we rehearse the incident in our minds. The longer the incident remains in our minds the longer we keep the fire of bitterness alive. Also, when we speak about the incident, we condemn others and give someone else the opportunity to condemn the wrongdoer.

We need to free ourselves and not be bound by the chains of pain from our past.

Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.”

Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

2 Corinthians 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

From the murderer, to the rapist, to the liar, everyone receives and deserves forgiveness. There is no sin too great that God cannot forgive.

Once God forgives us, He DOES NOT condemn us. He is not the voice in our head saying we should be ashamed of ourselves. God is not in the negative feeling we might get when we walk into church after missing church for months. He is not the author of depression and low self-worth because we missed the mark. Receive forgiveness and move on.

We need to allow the power in the blood of Jesus to remove any guilt, shame, or condemnation of our sin.

1 Peter 1:6, 7 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

When we go through trials and tribulations so many people want to say, “God is testing us.” We know that not to be true because in James 1:13 it says, When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone. Another word for tempted is tested or tried.

We may not be tested by God but, our faith is being tested by the circumstances God allows. Our faith is separate from us. Just like weights test our strength, circumstances and situations test our faith.

Anytime we have to endure something, know that our faith is being tested. Pass the test by knowing and utilizing the things that have already been provided for us through Jesus Christ. Receive the fact that through Jesus Christ, God always causes us to triumph.

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove from here to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

While it may be a fact that your situation is a certain way, the truth can change facts. Have faith, believe, and confess the manifestation of the impossible.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

We are being changed. We do not have to do this ourselves. Don’t get frustrated nor give up. Continue to seek God and allow His Spirit to work. Trust God!

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.

Any one can say they go to church five days a week and they read the Bible three times a day for three hours each but, what profit do they have if the power of God is not demonstrated? What benefit can the world see if the Christian is living a broke, busted, and disgusted life?

In this life, people want action, demonstration, or results, not just talk.
They want to see the peace of God operating in our lives after getting cursed out by a motorist. They want to see us use the power of God to overcome temptations we used to give in to. They want to see the power of God working in our finances, marriage, and character. They want to see.

If they want to see so badly, we should give them something to look at. Don’t just talk about the things written in the Good Book, believe, receive, and live these things out.

Acts 16:31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved–you and your household.”

When Jesus saved us, He not only saved us from our sins but from everything imaginable that could be negative or detrimental to our lives. The Bible refers to these negative things as the curse.

When Jesus died he saved us from a violent marriage and gave us a marriage made in heaven. He saved us from any lack or shortage in our finances and gave us abundance. He saved us from not having enough food/water and gave us all sufficiency in all things. When He saved us, He saved us from everything detrimental.

Whoever is experiencing anything negative or detrimental in their lives now, recognize this is as an attack from the enemy. The enemy is attempting to withhold or rob us of our inheritance. We must use our faith and claim the prize that Jesus died for and receive everything that’s included in the salvation package.

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

We all have weaknesses in some areas in our lives. We have weaknesses such as fornication, drunkenness, gluttony and so much more. Everyone’s weakness is different. Whatever weakness we have that goes against the Word of God, God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness.

For example, if there is a party where alcohol is served and someone has an alcoholic weakness, that person has to make a decision. That person can give in to temptation and become intoxicated or rely on the perfection of God’s strength to overcome that temptation.

The perfection of God’s strength has been made available to us. It’s not some new power that comes whenever a temptation presents itself. It’s always with us.

Recognize and receive this power and walk in it on a daily basis because we don’t want to be caught off guard by a Satan-orchestrated temptation.

People often find themselves repenting because they have sinned. However, before we sin, there was a thought. If we control our thoughts, we can control our actions. In fact, the Bible says we ought to control our thoughts by casting down imaginations and everything that exalts itself above God. If it doesn’t line up with the Word of God, we rebuke it.

It is our responsibility to keep or cast down any thought. God WILL NOT do this for us. This is our responsibility and He has already given us the ability through Jesus Christ to overcome any and every evil, negative, or perverted thought that enters our mind.

We can’t stop thoughts from entering our minds but, we can control if they stay in our hearts.

Control your thoughts, control your life.

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Romans 4:16 says the promises of God are received by faith however, faith has more components besides believing. James 2:20 says faith without works is dead. Galatians 5:6 says faith works by love. Hebrews 6:12 says faith is attached to patience.

With all this being known, to inherit the promises from God we need faith, patience, works, and love.

In order for us to receive these promises, some of us need to evaluate our lives. We need to ask ourselves are we lacking in any of these areas?
Faith: Do we need to believe God without doubting?
Works: Are we physically doing our part in the process to receive our desire?
Patience: Are we continuing to do what we know to do is right (over time) even if it seems what we’re doing is not working?
Love: Are we treating EVERYONE with the love of God? Have we forgiven our brother/sister who has wronged us?

It’s a lot of things to consider when we’re reaching for our promise. Activate these principles and watch God do the amazing.

Romans 4:16 So the promise is received by faith….

John 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Pruning does not allow us to remain stagnant, but will keep pushing us past a single comfort level to continually developing and bearing more and more fruit. Continue to be filled with God, reading and hearing His Word, and praising and worshipping Him. If without Him we can do nothing, then with Him, we can manifest the impossible (Luke 1:37, Matt 17:20)!

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, …22 …through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 For there is no difference; being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

So much attention has been given to verse 23 that the purpose of the passage has been missed by some.

Because of Jesus there is finally righteousness, apart from the old laws, that is accessible to everyone no matter what sin they have committed.

We are no longer bound to perfecting ourselves through submission to the Ten Commandments and other Old Testament laws. Through faith in Jesus Christ we are justified – made righteous. And verse 23 simply states, not an excuse to sin, but that we have been excused from sin by His grace through His Son.

God has been, is being, will be so good to us until saying “Thank You” doesn’t seem like it’s enough. It seems like we should be doing more. Actually, God has already called us to do more. In 1 Corinthians 3:9 God called us to be fellow workers or co-workers WITH Him.

What are we working on?
Establishing God’s covenant all over the earth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

This means we have an opportunity to give our time, effort, and money back to God. This means we can do more than say thank you. This means we can be side by side with God building His Kingdom in the earth. We can win souls for the Kingdom. We can represent the Kingdom of God by serving in our local church or at a shelter. We can use the abundance of wealth God promised us to build bigger churches, send the Word of God to the world (via Internet, television, or missions), and we can help those in need.

For those who truly desire to give something back to God, give Him your time, effort, and money to establish His covenant in the earth.

1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are God’s co-workers. You are God’s farmland and God’s building.

Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

When a celebrity walks in a night club or attends an entertainment event, they most likely will be in the VIP (very important person) section. In VIP the owner treats that person with high honor providing them with whatever food or beverage they have in stock. The owner usually goes out of their way to treat their guest.

In God’s eyes, everyone is VIP. If God considers everyone VIP, who are we to think less of someone? God gave us His all through Jesus Christ. The least we can do is show our brother or sister love, kindness, and respect. Since God loves everyone, and we are instructed to be imitators of Christ, we should have the same love and compassion for others as Christ does for us. Everyone we contact should receive the VIP treatment. It doesn’t matter if they deserve it or not. We didn’t deserve it from God but, He gave it to us anyway.

Continue to mature and show the love of God towards all.

Genesis 3:21 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.

Genesis 3 Summary:
Adam and Eve decide to be disobedient and eat of the forbidden tree. After eating of the tree, God questions them about their actions. At this time, they probably feel very foolish. God is disappointed with them and curses both man and woman. However, in spite of their sinful behavior, God personally clothed them with animal skin. He could have left them with their own concoction of clothes (fig leaves) but, He decided to provide for them any way.

This scripture shows the love and compassion God has for man.

For those who think, believe, or may have heard God won’t love or provide for those who live a sinful lifestyle. Think again. John 3:16 says, God so loved the world (sinners included). God loved us before we even knew Who He was.

No matter what kind of actions or lifestyle we’re living (holy or sinful) remember, God loves you.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

If we had at least $100.00 and we wanted to buy something that cost $10.00, we don’t need faith to buy that product. We already have the money to purchase it. Faith is believing that God has already done something we know we cannot do ourselves. Faith is total reliance and trust in God. Any and every desire we have has already been purchased and provided to us through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Think of the biggest, most expensive, most radical desire. Realize, that desire is already ours. As long as our desire pertains to life and godliness, that desire belongs to us.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,

Have faith!

When we place our food in the oven or microwave, we have an expectation that when the timer goes off, our food will be warm. We have such a confidence and an expectation in our oven until we set up the dinner table and get our beverages prepared because we believe our food will be warm and ready to eat.

That same confidence we have in an oven, is the same confidence we should have in the Word of God. Once we believe and receive the Word of God regarding whatever situation, we should expect that Word to come to pass. We should go so far as to prepare the way for that promise to come to pass. If it’s a new car, clean out the garage. If it’s a new house, start packing up belongings. If it’s a husband/wife, start looking at wedding magazines or providing options for honeymoon destinations. This is radical faith. This is for those who truly believe God’s Word will come to pass in their life.

Prepare the way.

Mark 1:3 “a voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'”

Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

There are indisputable subjects that the bible is clear on. And if we hear a voice, or prompting to do something that contradicts the Word of God, then that prompting is not from God.

But, with issues not explicitly stated in the Word, God has a path, designed specifically for each of us, leading to a joyful life. As God prompts us to do or abstain from things, we should not compare with nor force our convictions on others.

Walk out your fullness of joy, as you seek and obey God’s designed path for you!

We are free from the law to live un-condemned lives through the Spirit.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

There may be certain guidelines, convictions, or promptings that are only sinful if we do contrary to what God specifically leads us to do.

For example, one person may not have peace about kissing before marriage. Someone else may kiss and be fine with that. The Bible is clear about fornication, but kissing is permitted. But if God gave you that conviction about abstaining from kissing until marriage, then it is sin to not abide by it.

1 Peter 1: 2God the Father knew you long ago and chose you to live holy lives with the Spirit’s help so that you are obedient to Jesus Christ and are sprinkled with his blood. May good will and peace fill your lives!

From Deuteronomy 28:15-68 are the curses of the law. The summary of the curses are poverty, disease, and eternal death. According to Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed (past tense) us from the curse of the law. If Christ did not redeem us from the curse of the law, we would all experience poverty, disease, and eternal death. Since Jesus has redeemed us, we should believe, receive by faith, and be experiencing wealth, impenetrable health, and abundant living.

It doesn’t matter what it looks like on the outside, if we can believe and receive the FACT that we are wealthy, healed, and have abundant life, the manifestation of these truths will take place in our lives.

Receive this Word and produce total health, great wealth, and the abundant life.

Mathew 13:22 But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

This is a simple verse that most of us have heard at least once in our lives. However, many people fail to apply it in their lives. When we treat people kindly it not only reflects the character of God but, it’s also an opportunity to sow a seed into our lives and into the life of someone else.

Sowing seed in our lives:
According to Ephesians 6:8, when we treat another with kindness/respect in spite of how they treat us, we can EXPECT kindness from God. There is a guarantee that God’s kindness towards us is going to be on a higher level than we can even imagine.

Sowing seed into the lives of others:
When we show kindness/respect, we allow the love of God to be on display. The love of God is one of the most powerful forces in the world. That love being shown can brighten a person’s day. That kindness can keep a person from committing suicide. That respect can lead a person to salvation. It’s the little things.

In conclusion, treat each other with love, kindness, and respect to be a blessing into your own life and the lives of others.

Luke 6:39 He also told them this parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40 A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.

In Genesis 12 God has called us to be blessing however, we cannot be a blessing to people spiritually without having the knowledge of God. The knowledge of God is found in His Word and in His Spirit. If we don’t read His Word or receive His Spirit, how can we expect to be a blessing to others.

Some people may say, “I will leave the spiritual growth of others to the preachers.” According to Mark 16:15 Jesus gave us instructions to preach the Gospel to the nations. This includes us. Once again, how can we preach the Gospel if we don’t know the Gospel?

Take the time and study the Word of God to build your faith and be a blessing to the people of God.

Mark 11:14 Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.

In Mark 11 Jesus cursed the fig tree because it did not bear, or produce, fruit. Producing fruit is symbolic for producing positive results.

There is a lesson we can learn from this passage of scripture. Whatever is not yielding positive results in our lives, God has given us the ability to bind and loose, bless or curse. In our case, we can literally curse the lack of finances, the lack of employment, or the lack of whatever we desire. Just like the fig tree, once we curse these things, we should expect them to shrivel up and die.

I encourage you to curse anything you don’t desire in your life and call the things you do desire to pass.

Mark 11:20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”

Revelation 3:8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

God specializes in the manifestation of the impossible, also known as miracles. He sent His Son, a tri-part of Himself, and granted the opportunity of salvation for all men who ever did or would exist. He then sent us His thoughts, the Holy Spirit, for daily guidance as well as ushering in those used-to-be-impossibilities. It’s time to live in expectation of impossibilities!

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, And rivers in the desert.

Most people focus on the beginning of this verse, but the end reveals a miracle. God is promising to manifest the impossible in our lives. Receive it. Meditate on it. Declare it.

Genesis 1:28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Genesis 12:2 “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

Previously, we mentioned how God has literally given us the ability to overcome everything on all levels. This ability is known as the blessing. The blessing is defined as an empowerment to prosper. God made it clear in Genesis 12:2 not to limit this blessing just for ourselves. God blessed us to be a blessing. Once again, the blessing is not words saying, “I bless you” but, an empowering force to prosper.

To be a blessing, we must be in a position to empower someone else. There are many ways we can be a blessing to someone else. We can be a blessing financially, through wise counsel, an encouraging word, or just listening.

However we choose to be a blessing, be sure God is in the midst. If we attempt to be a blessing without consultation with God, we would be operating in the flesh and things can quickly backfire.

Activate the blessing and be a blessing.

Genesis 1:28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

The word blessed means an empowerment to prosper. In Genesis 1, God blessed man and said something. This signifies that a blessing is not a saying but, an empowerment. When God blessed man, He literally provided us with the ability to prosper on all levels. This ability was not limited to anything. It was not until man sinned and lost his dominion over everything. But praise God for Jesus Christ Who redeemed us and brought us back to our place of dominion and authority.

Whenever facing a trial or situation that seems too big to handle, we must realize that we are blessed. We have the God given ability, through Jesus Christ, to overcome all situations.

Activate the blessing.

2 Chronicles 13:12 Behold, God is with us at our head, and his priests with the trumpets of alarm to sound an alarm against you. Children of Israel, don’t you fight against Yahweh, the God of your fathers; for you shall not prosper.

By knowingly being disobedient, we fight against God and His plan for our life. Jesus came to give us an abundant life. By not walking in His ways, WE make the choice not to experience ALL the abundant life that He promised.

Praise God for grace because whether we intentionally or unintentionally miss the mark, for the believers, we have grace to catch us. But the just don’t live by grace, we live by faith. Our obedience positions us to receive the promise and our faith takes hold of the promise.

Surrender to God. Don’t fight against His ways. Make the choice, this day, to be totally sold out to Him.

When it comes to receiving, I heard and agreed with the saying, “Expect nothing, be grateful for everything.” At that time, that quote seemed deep and profound, only relying on God’s ability to provide. However, that quote doesn’t line up with the Word of God.

Luke 6:38 says, give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your lap. For with the same measure that you measure it shall be measured to you again.

When we give, we should have an expectation that men or people will give to us. The scripture didn’t say, God was going to give to us but, men. Yes, God will put it on the heart of people to give into our lives but, ultimately the giver will be men.

As we give, we should live in expectation for our return.

John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Many times young believers desire to grow in their relationship with God but, often times they don’t know where to start. Usually, the basics are easy. We accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and we believe that He died and rose for our sins. After knowing and believing that, for some, it gets a little complicated.

We can read the Bible more, but where do we start? We can pray more, but how do we pray and what should we talk about?

Our growth and development is a lifetime process. There is no one living who has it altogether. God will systematically work on us little by little. The first year may be a change in our mindset (Romans 12:2). The second year may be a change in our attitude (Philippians 2:14-15). The point is, we need to be open and receptive to these things. That way, whenever God gives us instructions, we can be obedient without delay.

It’s interesting how so many people base their life around the government’s laws, funding, or regulations. When the government does something they don’t agree with, they become very upset and hostile. Depression sets in and some turn to drugs, alcohol, and/or crime. Very few people turn to God when things seem to be at their worst.

There is one thing we should remember. The government is made up of mere men. Some, if not most of these men, don’t consult God when making decisions for their country. The Bible states we should not trust men but, our reliance for everything we need and want should be on God’s system. The world’s system is not designed for us to win or get ahead. It’s designed to keep us where we are at (economically), if not put us at a lower state.

Put and keep your trust in God, not man.

Psalm 146:3 Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. 4 When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. 5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, 6 the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—the Lord, who remains faithful forever.

It is interesting how occurrences can make us doubt our calling. Having been rejected in the past can turn into fear of rejection, if allowed. Negative words from a few people can produce a warped perception of self, if allowed.

Acts 7:35 “This Moses whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush. 36He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

Realize the truth about those occurrences and do not allow them to keep you from fulfilling the purpose and call that God has placed on your life. God called Moses to save a nation and perform miracles while doing so. Reject fear and receive your call.

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 23And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

I have begun declaring “I enjoy what I do.” The purpose of that declaration is to find joy in God no matter what task, job, or role that I am performing. Even the dream job, or ideal blessing may have some unwanted perks, such as the joy of having a baby paired with the possible pains of lack of sleep. So, we make a continual choice to enjoy what we do because we are doing all to bring honor to God.

Imagine that you have all the money you desire, living exactly where you want how you want. Imagine driving your favorite car, helping others in need, and being a blessing to the Kingdom of God. For most of us, we’ll consider that a “dream” or a “goal.” What if for the believer that’s actually reality?

Ephesians 1:3 says Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:8 says we are to fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

By combining these two scriptures, if we fix our eyes on things that are not seen, our eyes should be fixed on heavenly places, and heavenly places are the house of our greatest desires. The reality for the believer should be on things that are not seen. Through faith and patience we are simply waiting on the things in heavenly places to transfer into this temporary world.

Continue to see and say what you desire even though you can’t see it in this physical world. Make the unseen your reality.

Acts 19:17 When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor.

Do you hold the name of Jesus in high honor? Many times we hear people say the name of Jesus when things go wrong or when people can’t get their way. Some people also have the audacity to use profanity between Jesus and Christ. Throughout time, people have reduced the name of Jesus to an all-time low.

The name of Jesus is the name above every name. The name of Jesus has power. The name of Jesus means salvation. We shouldn’t use this name out of anger. With or without our efforts, the name of Jesus will be held high because God says so.

Let’s do our part as recipients of salvation through Jesus Christ to keep His name held in high honor.

Hebrews 6: 7 Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. 8 But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

In these two verses, the land represent us (mankind). The rain or water represents the Word of God (Ephesians 5:26). A land or a person who is open and willing to receive the Word of God receives a blessing from God. However, a person whose life produces thorns and thistles due to the lack of Word entering their life, will eventually die.

The Word of God is very important to the believer. Without the Word of God constantly watering our hearts, we will be subjected to the world’s way of living, thinking, and responding.

Everyday, water your hearts by reading, listening, and receiving the Word of God to live in a way that pleases God and receive all that He has for us.

John 16:23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

Jesus gave us the opportunity to receive a blank check. The scriptures says anything we ask in His name, it will be given to us. There are no limitations in the word “anything.” The only limits we have, are those we place on ourselves.

Just asking for the bare minimum not only limits us but, limits the growth or expansion of the Kingdom of God. Being minimalistic is essentially selfish. If we only ask God for just enough for ourselves, how can we be a blessing to anyone or anything?

Take the limits off and use the blank check Jesus has given us to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God, the people of God, and to live the abundant life that Jesus provided for us.

When we ask and believe God for a strong desire, we may have to go through the process of waiting on that desire. We may have to wait longer than we want to. While we’re waiting, we have to work endlessly not to allow doubt from entering our heart. The longer we wait, the stronger the doubts become. By the time we receive our desire, we can’t seem to enjoy it because we had to go through hell and high water to get it. The reason why some of us can’t seem to enjoy our desire is because our joy is invested in the wrong place. Our joy should not be attached to our desire. Our joy should be attached to God.

It was God Who was with us while we were waiting. It was God Who kept our minds at peace so we won’t go insane. It was the power of God we used to overcome doubt. God was with us the entire time. For that reason, we should have joy.

If our joy is wrapped in the promises of God and not the Creator of those promises, we are going to be disappointed every time. Our joy should be in the Lord.

John 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
