Zechariah 4:10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (The seven lamps represent the eyes of the Lord that search all around the world.)
You may be in a one bedroom apartment, but you desire to be in a five bedroom house. Don’t despise or belittle that one bedroom apartment. You treat that apartment as if it’s that five bedroom house.
Don’t be ashamed of that job just because it’s not as fancy as some of your friends’ jobs. You work at that job as if you’re making a million dollars a day. The same thing goes with our cars, clothes, or finances.
Luke 16:10 says, whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much. Job 8:7 says, though your beginning was small, yet your latter end will increase abundantly.
As we can see, when show our gratitude and faithfulness with what we have while simultaneously trusting God for more, God’s word declares we’ll experience increase.
Be grateful with what you have, but be in expectation for more.
