Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, says he to you; but his heart is not with you.

What we think about ourselves is what we become. If we think we’re less than, unequipped, unqualified, ignorant, or insecure then that’s what we become. Not only how we think about ourselves is what we become, but how we think about a situation is how it becomes. If we think the situation will never change, get worse, won’t work in our favor, or won’t benefit us, we’ll get tragic results. Toxic thinking produces a toxic life.

There is thinking that lines up with the Word of God and there is thinking that lines up with how we feel. How we think determines how we act. If our thoughts line up with the Word of God, we are guaranteed a successful life and we’ll walk with the mindset of victory. If our thoughts line up with how we feel, our lives will be on a roller coaster and we can expect disappointment.

If we want a prosperous peaceful life, our thoughts can’t contradict our desires. If we want our desires to manifest, our thinking must change to constantly agree with the Word of God.
