Matthew 8:14 When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, He saw Peter’s mother-in-law sick in bed with a fever. 15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve them.

God has done some spectacular things in our lives. He saved us, He delivered us from that horrible habit, He blessed us with newer and nicer things, He prospered us. The list goes on and on.

Like this woman, who was instantly healed by Jesus, our first response after all of the good things He’s done for us should be to serve Him. We don’t serve out of obligation. We serve out of gratitude and appreciation for all that He’s done. This service is not limited to the four walls in a church. We serve Him by intentionally living a holy lifestyle. We serve Him by sharing the good things He’s done for us with others. We serve Him gladly by walking in love.

Let’s reflect on the good things God has done for us and elevate our service towards Him.
