Numbers 20:11 Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with his staff, so that a great amount of water gushed out, and the congregation and their livestock were able to drink. 12 But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust Me to show My holiness in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this assembly into the land I have given them.”
Moses was with the children of Israel for years. They complained and were constantly disobedient. After so many years with them, Moses was frustrated. He was frustrated to the point of disobedience. When God told him to speak to the rock for water, he hit the rock. That one act of disobedience due to frustration cost Moses the opportunity to enter the promised land.
There will be times where we’ll experience frustration. We can be frustrated at our jobs, at home, and within ourselves. During these times, God will continue to give us instructions. God’s instruction may be unrelated to what we’re frustrated about. Here’s 3 steps to overcome frustration.
Frustration Elimination:
1. Recognize the areas of frustration.
2. Ask God to give you a plan of action regarding overcoming frustration.
3. Despite your feelings, continue to do what God told you to do.
Don’t miss out on a blessing because of frustration.
