1 Thessalonians 5:25 Brothers, pray for us.
In community policing, there’s a saying that says, “when you see something, say something.” It’s an encouragement to the public to call the police when we see criminal activity or something suspicious.
As believers, we have another option. When we see something, pray something. It’s not just referring to criminal activity, but anything that’s not lining up with God’s best. If we see a homeless person, pray for restoration. If we see a dysfunctional family, pray for peace. If we see a co-worker get sick often, pray for healing. Anything that doesn’t align with the Word of God should be prayed to its proper place.
This requires us to look outside of ourselves and our desires, but it’s extremely beneficial to our world.
