When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
Luke 5:4‭-‬5

Jesus gave Simon instructions. He told Simon to launch out into the deep to catch fish after Simon had attempted to catch fish all night. Simon had a choice. He could have either listened to his logic, which said I’ve already tried this and it didn’t work, or obeyed the Lord. He obeyed the Lord and caught a great number of fish.

What instructions has God given to you? Are you drowning out His instructions with logic? Have you told yourself what God is requesting doesn’t make sense? If so, make the quick adjustment and obey God. As we obey God, abundance takes place in our lives (Isaiah 1:19). It may not be fish, but it could be an increase in peace, finances, health, joy, or deliverance.

Proverbs 14:12 says, there is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Don’t let logic get in the way and destroy what God has for you.
