Romans 1:17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
We’re not right with God because we keep the Law of Moses. We’re not right with God because we pray 3 times a day. We’re not right with God because we go to church. We’re not right with God because we don’t sin. The ONLY thing that makes us right with God is our faith in Jesus Christ.
When we believe that Jesus is the Son of God Who fulfilled the Law of Moses and sacrificed His life for our sins, then we are made right with God. We’re not right because of what we do. We’re right because of our belief in what He did.
We can mess us 15 times a day and we’re still righteous. We may not have gone to church all year and we’re still righteous. Once again, it’s not our behavior or righteous actions that make us right with God. It’s ONLY our belief in Jesus and what He accomplished for us that makes us right with God.
