Matthew 9:20-21 NKJV And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”
Where did she get this idea to touch the hem of His garment?
Malachi 4:2 NKJV But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.
Wings in Hebrew is kaw-nawf’.
The definition of kaw-nawf’ means wing, extremity, edge, winged, border, corner, shirt
• wing
• extremity
• skirt, corner (of garment)
Hundreds of years before Jesus appeared, Malachi prophesied that there will be healing in Jesus’s garment. The woman knew this prophesy, believed this prophesy, confessed this prophesy over herself, and acted on it and received her healing.
When we know God’s word, believe God’s word, confess God’s word, and act on God’s word, we’ll receive the results of God’s word. That’s why it’s so important to know the scriptures, in context. If we don’t know the scriptures, our faith has nothing to hold on to. We’ll just be hoping and wishing something changes, but we’ll never be sure.
Like this woman, stand and continue to stand on God’s word until God’s promises manifest in your life.
