Hebrews 6:12 NLT Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.
Hebrews 10:36 NLT Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
These three scriptures, along with many others, let us know waiting is involved as a believer. We may have to wait to find our spouse, wait on our purpose-fulfilling career, and wait on the manifestation of healing in our bodies.
Most of us know we’ll have to wait for God’s promises to come to pass, but a lot of us can wait better. Instead of waiting anxiously, we can wait patiently. Instead of waiting with worry, we can wait with confidence, knowing God’s word has to come to pass. Instead of waiting with a plan B ready to go, we can boldly wait on plan A regardless how it looks.
As we wait, let’s exhibit traits that reflect the character of God and our confidence in God.
