Daniel 6:7-10 NLT We are all in agreement—we administrators, officials, high officers, advisers, and governors—that the king should make a law that will be strictly enforced. Give orders that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to you, Your Majesty—will be thrown into the den of lions. And now, Your Majesty, issue and sign this law so it cannot be changed, an official law of the Medes and Persians that cannot be revoked.” So King Darius signed the law. But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.
There’s a rebellion that’s righteous. That rebellion goes against laws, values, and societal norms that are contrary to God’s word. For Daniel, he acted rebelliously when he was told he couldn’t pray to God. After hearing about the unrighteous law, he continued to pray as he always did.
For us, our rebellion may be staying in our hotel room on a business trip instead of getting drunk with our coworkers. We may appear antisocial, but we’re honoring God. We may have to operate in rebellion if we’re the only person in the group who chooses not to lie to get out of a bad situation.
Like Daniel, we don’t have to be afraid of the consequences of not going along with the crowd. As we honor God by making the right decisions, we can let God fight our battles.
Daniel 2:14 NLT When Arioch, the commander of the king’s guard, came to kill them, Daniel handled the situation with wisdom and discretion.
A customer being extremely rude to us.
Someone cutting us off in traffic.
A coworker taking credit for our work.
Someone disrespecting us or our family.
A rebellious child.
These are all examples where we need to handle the situation with wisdom. Our flesh instinctively wants to handle the situation with four-letter words, our fists, or a gun, but that’s unwise. We could end up losing our jobs, losing our freedom, destroying our family, or losing our lives.
This is why it’s so important to spend time with God. As we spend time with God, our spirit man gets stronger and the reactions of our flesh minimize. We’ll clearly hear the Holy Spirit tell us to walk away when our flesh wants to respond. We’ll recall that God fights our battles if we stay calm (Exodus 14:14). We’ll receive wise words to say in an email or in person explaining the truth.
If we handle the situation in our flesh, we’ll most likely lose something. By acting wisely, we’ll not only maintain what we have, but we’ll gain something fruitful.

Mark 11:20-21 NKJV Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”
Biblical cursing has nothing to do with saying four-letter words to people or situations. When Jesus cursed the fig tree, He spoke negatively to it (Mark 11:12-14).
Proverbs 18:21 says, death and life are in the power of the tongue. Because of the power that’s in our speech, when we speak negatively, we’re cursing that person, thing, or situation. We may think it’s harmless or it won’t effect anything, but it actually impacts things.
We can curse situations by saying things like, “this war will never end” or “our health care is terrible.” We can curse our children by saying they’re dumb or they make dumb decisions. Even if they’re not in the room when we’re talking, we can curse them by speaking negatively about them. We can curse ourselves by saying, “I can never lose weight,” “I don’t ever get a raise,” or “I always get sick.” Even when we’re watching sports, we’re cursing our team by saying, “they’re trash.”
The only things we should be cursing are things that are contrary to God’s word. If we’re informed about disease in our bodies, we should curse the disease and command it to die. If we see lack, we should curse lack and command abundance. Whatever situation we’re facing, if it doesn’t align with God’s word, we should curse it.
We have to stop saying what we don’t actually want to see. Let’s use biblical cursing to benefit ourselves by cursing any negative situation.

Mark 11:12-14 NKJV Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard it.
The fig tree displayed and spoke lack to Jesus. Jesus’s response to the fig tree not having figs on it was a death sentence.
There will be things that negatively speak to us. Our health may tell us it’s declining. Our finances may tell us we’re lacking. Our emotions may tell us we’re unstable. How will we respond to these negative things? Will we just accept it, or will we counter it by cursing it?
When our bodies are telling us it’s failing, we can curse health decline and decree a renewal in youth (Ps. 103:5). When our finances are telling us we’re lacking, we can curse lack and declare abundance and overflow (2 Cor. 9:8). When our minds are attempting to tell us that we’re unstable, we can curse instability and declare perfect peace (Isa. 26:3).
Whatever the negative situation is saying, curse it, and declare what you want to see.

Matthew 22:39 NKJV And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
People are important to God. Since people are important to God, then people should be important to us.
With this understanding, we should make it a point to contact people in some way. Daily, we should check on our friends or family members. We should have a genuine conversation with our colleagues to see how they’re doing. We should be a light to people we don’t know at the grocery store or the gym. During our interactions, we can pray for them, speak life over them, or help them.
The world and thoughts from the enemy tell us to distrust people and to protect ourselves by staying away from people. That’s not God’s way. How can we be vessels for God if we’re always alone or only focused on our immediate family? We should have boundaries, but we’re not called to be isolated.
To our flesh, this may be uncomfortable, but daily, we must deny what our flesh wants, and follow the ways of Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
The bible instructs us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, love our neighbors, and serve one another (Matt. 28:19–20; 1 John 4:11; Gal. 5:13).
One thing we have to remember is God wants us to be ourselves as we approach people. If we don’t normally wear suits or have this bubbly speech when we approach people, we don’t have to wear suits or have bubbly speech when talk to people about the love of God. It’s okay to have on jeans and a t-shirt. It’s okay if our speech is dry and monotone. It’s even okay if we’re not smiling. God just wants us to be our authentic self when we’re talking about Him.
Everyone may not respond well to a high-energy, extra excited believer who’s smiling from ear to ear. And we shouldn’t have to put on a fake smile to share Jesus.
If God instructs us to put on a smile, then put on a smile. If He’s okay with us using a casual speaking voice and not smiling as much, we should be okay with that too.
It would be beneficial to all if we can be ourselves.

Daniel 2:18-19 NLT He (Daniel) urged them to ask the God of heaven to show them His mercy by telling them the secret, so they would not be executed along with the other wise men of Babylon. That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven.
We may not be facing a life or death situation like Daniel, but there are some serious situations that we face that require a quick solution.
At our jobs, we may need to come up with a reason why our department is necessary. If not, they may lay the entire department off. We may be facing a health challenge where the doctors can’t figure out why we keep having stomach pain. We may need to figure out the best way our children can learn in school, so they won’t be left behind.
Each situation requires revelation from God. Our earthly knowledge can go so far, but with God, secrets are revealed and mysteries are solved.
As we go to Him, expect to receive an answer. If our answer doesn’t happen immediately, don’t panic. Continue to position yourself to receive an answer from God. The answer may seem unconventional, illogical, or unwise in the world’s eyes, but trust Him and accept it.
As we apply His answer to the situation, we’ll experience a positive change for us and for others. Praise the Lord Who reveals secrets and solves mysteries for our benefit us and the benefit others.

Psalms 5:3 NLT Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
There are some who use this scripture to justify getting up early in the morning to spend time with God. Some may even try to make people feel guilty for not getting up in the morning to spend time with God.
Psalms 63:6 NIV On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.
On the other hand, we have the same author, David, expressing that he spends time meditating on God at night. So, the night time prayer people have a scripture to stand on.
Here we see David communicating with God all throughout the day.
Psalms 55:17 NLT Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice.
From these verses, we can see there’s not one right time of the day to spend with God. Anytime will work. He simply wants us to carve a piece of our day out and spend it with Him. God’s love language is quality time and He wants to spend time with the ones He loves.
Don’t get hung up on the most pleasing or appropriate time to spend with God. He just wants quality time with us. Let’s give it to Him.

However, there’s a way that our bodies can be healed without going to the doctor or taking medicine. That way is receiving, by faith, the health that’s stored in God’s word.
Isaiah 53:5 says, He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. When we believe that we are healed through the stripes of Jesus, sickness has to go.
In Mark 11:23 it says, for assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. When we speak to that mountain of sickness, in the name of Jesus, truly believing that it has to go, that sickness can’t stay.
James 5:14-15 says, is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. If we want someone to agree with us to be free from sickness, we can contact the elders of our church and the prayer of faith can save the sick and the Lord (not the elders) will raise us up.
None of these methods require a doctor or medicine. The main ingredient is faith in God’s word. As we believe, if God instructs us to see a doctor or take medicine, do what He says. He knows best.
The point is, instead of directly going to WebMD, a doctor, or medicine, let’s give the word an opportunity to manifest healing in our bodies.

I John 3:22-23 NKJV And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
All of us want our prayers answered. God guarantees that our prayers will be answered. Our prayers aren’t answered because we’re good. Our prayers are answered because we believe on the name of Jesus and love one another.
BELIEVE
When we believe, it shouldn’t be short-lived. No matter how long it takes, from the moment we’ve prayed, we must believe God heard us and we have what we asked of Him (1 John 5:15).
When we make our requests, using the name of Jesus, we should have so much confidence in that name until we know our requests will come to pass. Using that name in prayer is like Jesus Himself is praying to the Father. Did Jesus get all His prayers answered? Yes. And we should believe our prayers will come to pass too.
LOVE ONE ANOTHER
It does us no good if we have all this faith in the name of Jesus, but don’t walk in love. Galatians 5:6 says faith works by love. Faith to get our prayers answered won’t work unless we love. So, if we’re harboring hate in our hearts for someone or we’re walking around hating those around us, our faith won’t work.
We must make the decision to love EVERYONE despite what they’ve done. The decision to love could be the only thing standing between us and our answered prayers.
Let’s maintain our belief and walk in love, then we can be confident knowing our prayers will be answered.

Jeremiah 44:16-17 NKJV “As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you! But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and saw no trouble.
God has rules set up here in the earth. These rules may seem restricting, illogical, or unjust. These rules are designed to benefit us and to ensure that we’re good representatives for the Kingdom of God.
These people in Jeremiah’s day just flat out refused to obey God’s command. In their own twisted logic, they believed that when they worshiped this other god, their livelihood was better. Some of us have done similar things too.
Most of us know it goes against God’s rule to have sex before marriage (1 Cor. 6:18). But because it satisfies our flesh, we blatantly disobey God and do it anyway. We know the command of “thou shall not steal” in Exodus 20:15, but some of us steal time from the company by saying we’re working when we’re not. James 4:17 says, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. If we know God told us to give that waiter a big tip, but we don’t do it because we want to keep our money, that’s blatant disobedience.
The good news for us is there’s complete forgiveness. Even if we’ve been blatantly disobedient in multiple areas for years, we can receive forgiveness. Not only that, but we have the Holy Spirit Who gives us the power to do what pleases God (Phil 2:13).
We may miss the mark here and there, but let’s not live a life of blatant disobedience. It all starts with a decision. Let’s make the decision to do what pleases Him.

Many of us have been told to quiet ourselves, seek the Lord, and listen for His voice. During that time, we may want some big revelation about ourselves or a situation we’re facing. We may want clear and complete instructions for an idea we believe God placed in our hearts.
God could give us a big revelation or complete instructions, but He also could remind us of a revelation He gave to us years ago. He could give us practical instructions we can use on a daily basis.
Don’t dismiss older revelations or seemingly basic instructions from God because it’s not big, fresh, or life-changing. Don’t think your time with God was wasted. Every word from God to us is necessary for where we are. It doesn’t matter if it’s old or new, complete, practical, or partial. Receive the word that was given and do what He says.
John 10:27 NKJV My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Psalms 44:3 NKJV For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.
Because we’re favored by God, we’ll experience great victories every single time. We won’t win some or lose some. With God, He always causes us to triumph through Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14).
Does that mean we won’t face problems or difficulties? Absolutely not. In order to have victory, we’ll have to face a battle. Our battles are battles of faith (1 Timothy 6:12).
Every thing we face is designed to challenge our faith. If we’re unsure if God’s word will work based on the magnitude of the situation or based on how “good” we’ve been, we can’t expect to see manifestation from the Lord (James 1:6-7). But if we’re completely convinced that God’s word will come to pass no matter the opposition or delay, we’ll experience favorably fashioned victories. The way these victories will come to pass will be so intelligently orchestrated until everyone will have to say, “Only God could do it.”
Whether it’s sickness, financial issues, marital problems, or problems at work, if our faith is totally in Him, expect to experience favor-filled victories.

Esther 8:5 NKJV and said, “If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight and the thing seems right to the king and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to annihilate the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces.
Esther had so much favor on her life until she had an unjust rule changed to save her people. Through Esther, God shows us that unjust rules and policies can be changed for our benefit and the benefit of others through His favor.
If we’re a minority, and it seems like minorities can’t purchase property in a certain area, we can go to God with our problem and He’ll direct us to the right person who can assist us with finalizing the purchase in that area. If a company’s policy says they don’t promote until after 5 years, through God’s favor, they may see our credentials and work performance and promote us before 5 years. If we have a health condition, but our insurance doesn’t allow us to get the medication for that condition, we can rely on God’s favor. His favor can miraculously change what our insurance covers, which allows us to get the necessary medication.
Other people may call it “making an exception,” but we can attribute it to the favor of God. Thank God for His favor.

Deuteronomy 33:23 NIV About Naphtali he said: “Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the Lord and is full of his blessing; he will inherit southward to the lake.”
We may need land for a business or land for a house. As we can see, due to the favor of God on Naphtali’s life, he received land. Since God doesn’t show favoritism, what He does for one, He’ll do for another. Based on this, we can have favor for land as well.
Combining the power of our words with this revelation of God’s favor, we can create a confession to receive land. Our confession can be the following: “God’s word shows that His people can have favor for land. Since I’m a child of God, I too expect to receive favor for land, in Jesus’s name.”
After making our confession, we can thank God for favor to obtain the land. Praise God for favor for the land.

Proverbs 14:9 NKJV Fools mock at sin, But among the upright there is favor.
Because God’s favor is on the believer, there are times where we’ll experience prominence and preferential treatment. Prominence means the state of being important, famous, noticeable, or sticking out from a surface.
This type of favor can cause people to get a good feeling when they see our families and want to buy our meals. It can cause our supervisor to commend us on our work and use it in a presentation. It can cause a stewardess to give us extra snacks on a flight. This favor can cause our children to be selected to get a full scholarship to their most desired college.
Believe for and expect favor in every circumstance. If it didn’t happen like you wanted, don’t close the door and say “I guess that favor stuff doesn’t work for me.” Meditate on favor in God’s word and continue to believe. Eventually, you’ll identify favor operating all over your life.
