Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!”
As created beings who have free will, we get to choose what we want to accept in life. We essentially have two categories. We can accept the conclusions of this world based on our experiences or we can accept what God says about us.
If we keep missing the mark, we can accept that we’re a sinner. If we have a little money in the bank, we can accept that we’re broke. If our parents weren’t there for us, we can accept that we’re unloved. If the doctor tells us we have this disease, we accept that we’re sick. If our marriage is problematic, we can accept that it’s always going to be like this.
The other option is getting in God’s word and accepting what He says about us and our lives.
When we believe that Jesus fulfilled the law, took all our punishment, and died on our behalf, we can accept that we’re forgiven. Accept that we’re righteous regardless of our behavior. Accept that God is our financial Source. Accept that we’re greatly loved. Accept we’re healed. Accept we have access to supernatural peace. Accept that He’s given us authority to change outcomes when we use the name of Jesus.
It’s up to you what you’re willing to accept. Get in God’s word and accept what He says over everything else.
