One of the hardest things for us to comprehend is the magnitude of God’s grace. It’s difficult for us to comprehend God’s grace because mankind’s grace usually has limits. From our children, to our close friends, to relatives; there’s only so many chances we’ll give people.
For a person who’s killed 17 people, mankind says lock him up forever or execute him. However, the grace of God says I still love him and he still has a chance to have a right relationship with Me. That’s hard for us to conceive.
God’s grace is infinite. We can go against His ways 100 times a day and His grace tells us He still loves us, we’re forgiven, and He still accepts us as His beloved. If we got what we deserved based on God’s standards, we would be in hell tonight.
The point of this message is to elevate our grace. The same grace that’s extended towards us from God is the same grace we should extend towards someone else. As much as it makes logical sense to sever our relationship with a person after they’ve wronged us or someone else, we should love them, forgive them, and as the Spirit leads, be a blessing to them.
Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
