Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
Some of us have been deceived into living a life not honoring God. Initially, we may knowingly sin but because our lives are not significantly impacted and nothing bad happened to us, some of us think it’s okay to continue what we’re doing. It’s not. We’re being deceived.
There are consequences to sin. Some consequences are immediate but, a lot of them are delayed. Sin leads to death (Rom. 6:23). If we don’t change, we’ll end up living a shorter unproductive life full of sickness and disease and broken relationships. It’s not God putting this on us but, our actions that cause these consequences.
The goodness we still experience after we knowingly sin is God’s way to lead us to repentance (Rom. 2:4). Would we knowingly wrong or go against a person who’s been so good to us? No. Then, why would we do that to our God?
Today we have a choice. We can continue living a life doing what we want to do and not honoring God or we can change our behavior and honor Him with our lifestyle. The pros and cons are set. You choose.
