1 John 2:1 (ERV) My dear children, I write this letter to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone sins, we have Jesus Christ to help us. He always did what was right, so He is able to defend us before God the Father. 2 Jesus is the way our sins are taken away. And He is the way all people can have their sins taken away too.
Before the world was created, God implemented a plan to send His Son Jesus to take away all the sins of the world.
After Jesus sacrificed Himself for us, all our sins that we’ll ever commit were forgiven. When people reject Jesus, they reject the payment for their sins; therefore, they die in their unpaid sins and can never be in the presence of a pure Holy God.
It’s not people’s sinful behavior that keeps them from going to heaven, because all sin has been dealt with through Jesus. It’s the rejection of the payment for our sins that keeps people out.
Don’t be left out. Receive Jesus and receive the payment of our sins.
