God is and has been so good to us. He took some of us out of a pit of despair. He removed our fears, got us out of depression, and prospered us. With all that God has done and all that we expect Him to do, we should praise Him.

For those who are in a rough place right now, everything in our flesh will tell us not to praise God. The enemy will magnify the difficulties in our lives and pose the question…“What’s the point?” The point of praise it to keep our souls in check. It’s to get us out of that funk. It’s to remind ourselves of God’s ability. It’s to live in expectation of Him doing great things in our lives again.

Wherever we are in life, open up your mouth on a consistent basis (not just at church) and praise the Lord.

Psalm 150:1 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp!
