Some people hear about confessions and get excited. They confess for all their desires for a few days. When they don’t see anything happening, the excitement leaves and their confessions start to wane. They don’t confess as often or they’ll forget. Other things become more important to them.
The reason people’s confessions start to decline or disappear is because of doubt. When people don’t see anything happening after a few days of confessions, they become deceived into thinking their confessions aren’t working. In actuality, they’re quitting too soon.
The confession itself doesn’t make our desires come to pass. Faith is what brings our desires to pass. Our confessions maintain the level of faith we need to go the distance and access what God has promised.
Don’t stop feeding your faith. Keep believing. Keep confessing. Don’t doubt; expect to receive all that God has promised.
