Isaiah 25:1 Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.

Some people like to say, “I don’t worship God for what He’s done. I worship God for who He is.” That sounds deep and all, but there’s no separation between who God is and what He’s done. Who God is, is attached to what He does.

If God was just sitting in heaven and didn’t do anything for us, He would be no different than a tree in a forest, miles away from us. We wouldn’t worship Him. What’s the point? We worship Him because of what He’s done. He gave us salvation through Jesus, supplies our needs, and gives us the desires of our hearts. We worship Him because He’s healed us, protects us, and made us joint heirs with Christ. We worship because He’s good and causes all things to work together for our good.

Don’t let some “deep” over religious person try to make you feel bad because you’re worshipping God because of what He’s done. It’s okay to worship God for what He’s done. He simply wants our worship.
