Deuteronomy 28:8 NLT “The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

This was a guaranteed promise from God for the children of Israel, who were under the law and didn’t have a personal relationship with Him. If they received this kind of promise, think about what we, the children of God who are saved, are promised.

Hebrews 8:6 says, but now Jesus has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. We have better promises. We can have this kind of promise and more.

If we update Deuteronomy 28:8 for us today, God promises to bless everything we do. That means we’re anointed to prosper in our careers, in our marriages, with parenting, and with anything else we do.

Since we don’t live in an agricultural society, we no longer have grain and storehouses. If we update this scripture, God promises to fill our bank accounts with money.

Finally, God promises His people land. This is as beneficial now as it was then. If you want land for real-estate purposes, land to expand the Kingdom of God, or land to live, God guarantees this promise to us. These three promises are enough to praise and give God glory for the rest of the day.

If you see an old covenant promise, in context, know you’re entitled to that and MORE through Jesus Christ.
