Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.
There are people who can really help us. They can help us in our careers, in our marriages, or in raising our children, but if we’re too prideful or stubborn to be corrected, we’ve officially become stupid.
We’re not stupid because we don’t know something. We’re stupid because we hate correction. Hating correction is an insecurity that must be uprooted. We don’t know everything and everyone from our children, to God, will correct us. Instead of looking at correction as an attack on our intelligence, we should view correction as God providing an opportunity for us to get better.
Let’s change our perspective, avoid stupidity, and welcome correction.
