Philippians 4:8 NKJV “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. ”
These are the thoughts God instructs us think on. Not only should we think on these things, but we should keep our thoughts fixed on these things. One of the thoughts is a good report.
A good report are thoughts that agree with God’s word. We can see an example of a good report when Joshua and Caleb agreed with God despite what they saw after they returned from spying on the land (Numbers 14:6-10).
For us, a good report is having thoughts that believe we’re healed instead of believing that we’re going to be sick for the rest of our lives. A good report is thinking that our children will be smart in school instead of worrying that they’ll struggle academically and be left behind. It’s believing all our needs will bee met instead of thinking we won’t have enough.
The devil will always suggest an evil report. It’s up to us to dismiss it and think on a good report.
