God’s Word says death or life is in the power of the tongue, our tongue is the pen of a ready writer, and we speak to and move mountains (Prov. 18:21; Psalm 45:1; Mark 11:23). In so many ways, God lets us know we have authority in our speech.

When we get a full revelation of this concept, we’ll react differently when the devil puts negative thoughts in our heads such as: it will never happen, you don’t have enough money, or it will never get better. Instead of being sad or accepting those thoughts as the truth, allow those thoughts to provoke us to declare what’s really true: God’s Word.

When sickness attacks one person in our household, instead of worrying about everyone in the house getting sick, we can declare everyone in our household walks in divine health. Whenever we see a shortage in our finances, instead of wondering how we’re going to make it, we should declare all our needs are met.

Let’s use Satan’s negative thoughts as motivation to confess what we desire to see.

Matthew 15:11 What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”
