Exodus 4:10-11 NKJV “Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? ”
Moses made excuses why he couldn’t deliver the children of Israel. Some of us make excuses why we can’t do the things God called us to do.
When it comes to preaching the gospel to the lost, some of us make the excuse that we don’t know all the scriptures. When it comes to starting that business that God instructed us to start, some make the excuse that they don’t have the money. When it comes to forgiving that person who hurt us, some say they can’t forgive them based on what they’ve done.
We can always make excuses to not do what God told us to do. God doesn’t need our excuses. He needs us to partner with and trust Him.
The good news is even if we’ve made excuses for years, God can still use us in a mighty way. If Moses made excuses and God used him, He can use us too.
