John 16:13 NKJV However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

Jesus informs believers that the Holy Spirit will tell us things that are coming in the future.

One thing we must remember is that not everything He tells us will be positive. He may tell us that our company will be downsizing and we’ll be laid off. He may tell us we’ll be losing a friend. He may tell us that our doctor will see issues with our health.

When these things are told to us, because they’re not positive, we shouldn’t automatically assume it’s from the devil and bind it in Jesus name. Now, some things are from Satan and they should be bound, but other things are from the Holy Spirit to help us prepare.

That’s why it’s so important to familiarize ourselves with the voice of the Holy Spirit. When we know His voice, we can accept it as truth. Although some things He says aren’t positive, they’re beneficial because it helps us to prepare for what’s to come.
