Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

We always like to say there’s nothing God can’t do. Well, here’s something He can’t do. God cannot lie (Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29).

This one thing God cannot do benefits us in so many ways. If God could lie, it would make His Word and faithfulness questionable. How could we put our complete trust in a Being Who could lie at any moment? If God lied, the world would cease to exist (Heb. 1:3).

Knowing that lying is not even an option for God allows us to anchor our trust, faith, and confidence in Him. If God said it in His written Word or He told us through our spirit, it will come to pass. It’s not a possibility and we don’t have to wonder. It has to come to pass. No matter how long it takes, it will come to pass. From that new job, to healing in our bodies, to a peaceful life, if God said it, it will come to pass.
