Daniel 7:1 NIV In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying in bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream.
Sometimes, we want to experience supernatural events. We want to see angels, interpret dreams, or see Jesus. There’s nothing wrong with desiring these things, but God can speak to us through a vision we have in our minds.
We could be wide awake and God can show us things in our minds. It could be something that’s about to happen, something that’s currently happening, or something that’s already happened. Many of us dismiss these thoughts, call it daydreaming, or letting our minds wonder, but it could be God giving us supernatural vision.
If we get what we believe is a vision, we need to confirm if that vision was from God, because Satan can use our minds too. Secondly, we need to be sensitive to hear God’s voice regarding the meaning of these visions. We don’t want our flesh to get involved and come up with our own meaning of these visions. Finally, we need to be obedient with what God showed us. Everything He shows us is not for everyone. On the other hand, we don’t want hoard something He’s trying to share with someone else or for the body of Christ.
We may go through our entire life without ever getting a supernatural vision from God that we can see with our natural eyes. But as we spend time with God, He most likely will show us visions in our minds. Respond to these visions responsibly.
