Joel 3:10 NKJV Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ”
There are people who are afraid to say what God says about them. Because they don’t believe it themselves, they think they’re lying. We can’t lie saying what God said.
We might feel weak or inadequate, but God tells us to say we’re strong. Is it a lie? Of course not. Because from His perspective, which is the only perspective that matters and is true, we are strong. Romans 3:4 says, let God be true, but every man a liar. That lying man may be us and our perspective at times.
As we consistently confess what God says about us, faith comes (Rom. 10:17). When faith comes, our perspective supernaturally shifts and agrees with God’s word. We’ll begin to believe we’re strong and experience victories in numerous areas of our lives. We’ll believe we’re strong enough to kick that habit. We’ll believe we’re strong enough to resist temptations. We’ll believe we’re strong enough to stay calm and not go off on that person who’s testing our patience.
Confessing what God says also applies with our health, our righteousness, our forgiveness, and our holiness. Begin to say what God says you.
