Isaiah 65:17 NKJV “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.
The things that we experience in this life won’t even come to mind when the new heavens and earth are created. All of the heartache, sickness, division, hurt, pain, and sadness won’t be acknowledged.
We’re going to be so satisfied and fulfilled being in the presence of God until we won’t think about what happened in this life. It’s going to be an awesome time.
But until then, we have to make the most of this life. Yes, it’s a fallen world and everything won’t go our way all the time, but Jesus promised us an abundant life (John 10:10). That means, overall, life should be good. We should continue to progress in our relationship with God, our health should be maintained, and we should experience increase in all aspects of life.
Not only that, but there are some assignments we need to accomplish. Some of us are called to preach, give to the poor, teach financial literacy, or counsel those who experienced emotional pain. Whatever God has called you to do in this life, do it.
Every now and then, we can think about the new heavens and earth and what’s to come, but until then, let’s accomplish the will of the Father by enjoying life and fulfilling our purpose.
