Genesis 1:2-3 NKJV The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

When God saw the darkness, He didn’t say… It sure is dark. He didn’t want the darkness, so He called for light. And light came.

In our own lives, we may have some darkness we see. It could be emotional trauma, physical pain, financial lack, or relationship problems. Instead of talking about the darkness, call for what you want to see (light).

Instead of telling your friends and family how bad your marriage is, declare the Holy Spirit is working on both of us and we’re getting better every single day. Instead of telling yourself or someone else how you have triggers due to trauma, declare the stripes of Jesus have healed me of previous hurts.

Stop talking about or calling for darkness. That’s the known. Use your God-given authority, through your speech, to call for the light. That’s the only way things will change.
